Investor Support Platform

As a EuroCam initiative, PAIE will serve as an ombudsman and advocate on behalf of EuroCam with European investors in Mozambique.

Working closely with European investors, it will identify areas of interest and constraints faced by investors at different stages of their business cycles, contribute to a fruitful private-private as well as public-private dialogue through its participation in the government’s post-establishment support mechanism.

PAIE’s services are provided free of charge to private investors. However, if specialised services are required, the cost of hiring these services will be borne by the private investor.

Investor support platform functions

EuroCam is committed to assisting European private investors and monitoring the implementation of the regulations in practice. This will be materialised through the work of PAIE as a technical executive tool and through the advocacy work of EuroCam’s leadership.

PAIE’s main functions as an interface with the government’s post-establishment mechanism are:

  • Maintaining an up-to-date database of all private European investors in Mozambique;
  • Work proactively with European private investors to understand, consult, advise and support them in overcoming any grievances with the host government’s public institutions;
  • Receive, analyse and investigate cases of complaints from private investors and prepare the submission to the APIEX Technical Council and ensure follow-up until their satisfactory resolution;
  • Monitor the implementation and execution of measures taken to resolve cases of complaints from European private investors;
  • Provide assistance to European private investors in expanding their investments and business opportunities;
  • Publish the results of complaint cases as appropriate;
  • Reporting to the EuroCam Board on its activities.

 

To assist the European investor in Mozambique on issues related to post-establishment facilitation services for development support to retain investment, encourage follow-on investment and achieve greater local economic impact. It will serve as an interface with the APIEX Government, IP Technical Council to make it easier for investors to establish, operate and expand their existing investments.

To serve as an effective, dynamic and flexible tool to promote and support the business interest of European investors in Mozambique.
